The Perfect Espresso Martini
The famous Espresso Martini is a top drink and a classic cocktail. Invented by the famous late bartender Dick Bradsell, as a peculiar request from a British top model in his London bar in 1983. The Espresso Martini is a cocktail with a story, a history and a legacy. It’s as good after dinner as it is as a short, sharp pick-me-up before heading out for the evening. Here’s a recipe for the perfect espresso martini.
Perfect espresso martini:
Per drink
Handful of ice
25ml vodka
35ml coffee liqueur
35ml fresh Karajoz espresso
Coffee beans, to garnish
Chill martini glasses in the freezer for at least 20 minutes before serving.
Put the ice in a cocktail shaker, -followed by the vodka, liqueur and lastly the coffee. Taste and add a little more liqueur if you prefer it sweeter. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds.
Strain into the chilled glasses and top with coffee beans. Serve immediately.
